Category: Tents

Our Guard Station 8 is a dome-style mountaineering expedition dream shelter burly enough to withstand extreme high-altitude, high-alpine conditions. The Guard Station 8 features an external pole design which means it can be set up as a free-standing group shelter, or clip in the tent body to create a double-wall tent. The DAC exoskeleton pole system is incredibly strong and offers generous living space, with polyester rip-stop material developed to provide high UV resistance and stability in the most extreme environments.

Ellie S. ★★★★★

Pitched this on an exposed ridge at 11,000 feet and the external pole design made setup way easier with gloves on. The dome shape shed wind all night and I actually slept instead of bracing for the next gust.

Nicholas ★★★★★

We got hit with 60 mph gusts on Rainier and this thing didn't even flinch. The external pole design means you can pitch it with gloves on too, which matters when it's below freezing. Slept four of us plus gear with room to spare.

Mia ★★★★★

The external pole design made setup faster than I expected, even with gloves on in gusty wind. We rode out a full night of hail and 60mph gusts without a single seam popping or pole bending. For an expedition shelter, that’s exactly what I needed.
