Quick answer

Attach the Sage Canyon Accessory Wall Plus to any side of your Shelter Plus using the integrated clip and stake system for instant privacy and wind protection.

Why add the Accessory Wall

The Accessory Wall Plus turns your open shelter into a more enclosed space. It blocks wind, shields rain from one side, and gives you visual privacy at camp. The trade-off is reduced airflow and a slight increase in setup time.

Use it on the windward side during storms, or on the side facing a busy trail for privacy. Leave it off on calm, clear nights to keep the shelter airy.

How to install the Accessory Wall Plus

  1. Choose the attachment side: Pick the side of the Shelter Plus where you want the wall. The Accessory Wall Plus fits any side, so consider wind direction and where you need privacy. A common mistake is attaching it on the wrong side after the shelter is fully staked. Decide before you tension the main shelter.
  2. Clip the wall to the shelter frame: Align the top edge of the Accessory Wall with the shelter's frame. Use the built-in clips to secure it along the ridge line and corner poles. Work from one end to the other to keep the fabric even. Check that all clips are fully engaged. A missed clip can cause the wall to sag and collect water.
  3. Stake out the bottom edge: Pull the bottom of the Accessory Wall taut and stake each corner into the ground at a 45-degree angle away from the shelter. Adjust tension so the wall is smooth but not overstretched. Staking too loosely leaves gaps that defeat the purpose. Stake too tight and you risk tearing the grommets in soft ground.
  4. Adjust for weather conditions: In high wind, lower the wall by staking it closer to the shelter to reduce sail effect. In light rain, leave a 2-inch gap at the bottom for drainage. Sealing the wall completely to the ground in wet conditions can channel water under your shelter. A small gap prevents pooling.
