Blacktail Hotel 2

The extra room in the Hotel 2 made a huge difference for me and my partner—we could both sit up and move around without constantly bumping elbows. Set-up was straightforward, and the whole thing felt solid even with a stiff breeze rolling through camp that night.

Took this on a rainy weekend trip and the extra headroom made all the difference when we were stuck inside for hours. The poles felt sturdy in gusty conditions, and the vestibule swallowed our muddy boots without crowding the sleeping area.

I’m 5’10” and could stand up straight near the center—that extra headroom made changing clothes feel almost luxurious. The whole thing held up solidly through a windy canyon night without a single stake pulling loose.
